Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory
Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- In the Kumsanpho area on the west coast of the DPRK there is the Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory, a large-scale seafood processing base for producing pickled fish by industrial methods.
The factory produces more than 50 kinds of products of over 30 kinds including pickled shrimps, anchovies and shellfishes, and fermented mullet and flatfish.
There are more than 10 kinds of pickled shrimps mixed with green pepper, unripe garlic, leek and perilla leaves.
It produces canned pickles and makes sauce with by-products.
The factory was awarded the top prize at national exhibition of processed marine products and some kinds of pickles were registered as February 2 Goods.
The factory is associated with the warm love of respected Comrade General Secretary
He proposed building a modern processing factory which produces pickled fish products by industrial method and named it "Kumsanpho Fish Pickling Factory".
On August 7, 2018, when visiting the factory, he looked at the pickled fish products filled at store and said that he feels proud and worthwhile to think that the people's diet would be improved, adding that the factory is like a treasure house in the West Sea port for improving the people's diet.
Thanks to the warm care of the Workers' Party of Korea, the goods of the factory, which are sold at the Kumsanpho specialty shops and stalls in Pyongyang and other parts of the country, gain popularity among the people. -0-
