Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- On the Wihwa Island in Sinuiju City of North Phyongan Province, the DPRK, there is the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm visualizing the rapid development in the era of the Workers' Party of Korea.
It is an ideal farm town in the new era, with good combination of a thousand and hundreds of greenhouses, vegetable science research center, modern houses, various bases for cultural life and peculiar landscape.
The Wihwa Island was a place where only sand dust was flying about by the strong river wind with natural disasters year by year.

One day in September 2025, he guided on the spot the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm and the work for regional development, indicating the tasks and ways for successfully finishing the construction project, including the issue of putting the farm management on an IT and automation basis of high level.
The farm, inaugurated in February this year, has increased production as compared with the early days of its operation, harvesting hundreds of tons of vegetables of dozens of varieties every day to supply them to orphanages, baby homes, primary schools for orphans and commercial units.
It completed the rearrangement of farm fields of hundreds of hectares in a short span of time and directed efforts to manuring and cultivating rape by dint of science and technology. As a result, it has reaped a good harvest. -0-
