Schoolchildren in Pyongyang Send Letters to Coal Miners

Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren in Pyongyang sent letters of encouragement to the workers at the Hukryong Coal Mine under the Kangdong Area Coal-mining Complex.

The letters carry sincerity of the new generation to the coal miners defending the outpost of the self-supporting economy with patriotic efforts and enthusiasm.

The request of the new generation wishing the coal miners to increase production, with the love and trust of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un kept in their mind, is reflected in the letters written by Korean Children's Union members at Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 and Changdok School.

KCU members at Moranbong Middle School No. 1, East Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 and Pyongyang Foreign Languages School of Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies wrote in their letters that the vigorous struggle of coal miners for increased production make them cherish patriotism deeper in their mind. And they expressed the resolve to prepare themselves to be young patriots who are good at study, organizational life and do-good-thing movement.

Reading the letters, the coal miners hardened their will to fulfill their responsibility and duty in a drive to attain this year's goal of coal production. -0-
