Transport of Rice Sheaves and Threshing at Final Stage in DPRK

Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The agricultural workers across the DPRK are striving to successfully finish this year's farming.

As of November 5, the transport of rice sheaves has been conducted at the final stage and the threshing is progressing at 89 percent.

Pyongyang Municipality has raised the operation rate of transport equipment and, at the same time, deployed efficient mobile rice threshers in every field and increased their utilization, thus registering high results in threshing.

The farms in South Hamgyong Province are conducting threshing at the final stage by increasing the operation rate of various threshing machines.

South Phyongan Province has organized manpower and the work in a rational way and threshed rice sheaves in good time to prevent the yield reduction.

North Hwanghae Province is rapidly transporting the harvested rice and pushing ahead with threshing by making effective use of tractors and other vehicles.

Agricultural workers in North Hamgyong Province and Kangwon Province are displaying a high sense of responsibility for successfully finishing this year's farming. -0-
