DPRK Premier Inspects Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, visited the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex to learn about production and management.

At the complex, the premier called upon the officials and workers of the complex to make redoubled efforts to attain the goal of iron production set forth by the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea without fail, always keeping in mind the importance of the position and duty of the complex in carrying out the new long-term plan.

Going round the blast furnace, steel and other workshops, he called for increasing the number of operating days of equipment and steadily introducing advanced and rational methods of iron production.

The premier called upon officials to organize and manage production well with innovative insight and implacable power of execution, improve the operating efficiency of equipment, push ahead with perfecting production processes scientifically and technologically as planned and thus lay a firm foundation for increased iron and steel production.

Earlier, at the Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory, Pak Thae Song discussed the ways for it to fully discharge its mission and role as the centre and model of the country's pharmaceutical industry.

The field consultative meetings discussed the issues of ensuring the relevant sectors and units' responsible supply of equipment and raw materials necessary for the iron and steel production, producing more efficacious medicines and suit the convenience of the employees in life, and took measures.

Meanwhile, Pak Thae Song visited the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory to learn about the development and production of medical appliances. -0-
