N. Hwanghae Province Focuses on Rural Technical Revolution

Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is directing efforts to training the primary officials and agricultural workers of the farms to be masters of the rural technical revolution, persons in charge of the scientific farming.

The Provincial Rural Economy Committee has arranged organizational and political work in a concrete way to improve the contents and methods of education at city, county agricultural technology schools, which play an important role in training rural technical forces, and reinforce their material and technical foundations.

Sariwon City remodeled its agricultural technology school. And it is now making efforts to improve the qualifications of teachers, teach students in a theoretical and popularized way on the basis of the Party policies and introduce the research-type teaching methods to the subjects of study.

The agricultural technology schools in Sangwon, Junghwa and Rinsan counties are educating their students about farming, stockbreeding, pomiculture and agricultural information technology in combination with practices to prepare them to be knowledgeable workers.

Songnim City and Yonthan County are raising the ability and intellectual level of their primary officials by updating the contents of retraining them in conformity with the trend of the development of modern agriculture and regional features and organizing on-site inspections and practices.

The teachers of agricultural technology schools in Hwangju and Kumchon counties are arranging itinerant lectures in a substantial way with an aim to help farmers enrich their knowledge and teach them practical knowledge for farming.

Unpha and Thosan counties have also paid attention to the educational work at agricultural technology schools and established a system of training skilled workers to prepare them to be those capable of realizing the mechanization of agriculture. -0-
