Anniversary of Bureau for Construction of Revolutionary Sites Marked

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held on the spot on August 18 to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the Bureau for Construction of Revolutionary Sites.

Present there were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials and employees of the bureau, meritorious persons and labor innovators.

Ju Chang Il conveyed a congratulatory message of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the builders and officials of the Bureau for the Construction of the Revolutionary Sites.

The WPK Central Committee in its congratulatory message said that the 50 year-long history of the bureau started in the sacred area of Mt Paektu in the historic period when a heyday of the construction of the revolutionary sites was ushered in the 1970s. This is part and epitome of the history of the Workers' Party of Korea which has defended and glorified the revolutionary traditions of Juche, it noted.

The bureau defended the position of the revolutionary and powerful construction group with countless achievements of creation as main force in the historic day when the revolutionary spirit and development of Juche Korea were displayed to the world through the successive erection of grand monuments of national treasure and in the stirring years when a great golden age of construction was ushered in to bring about a fresh turn in the development of the state, it said.

The message extended warm congratulations to all the builders and officials of the Bureau for Construction of Revolutionary Sites on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of the bureau as they have made contributions to the steady succession and development of our cause by successfully building structures symbolizing the glorious revolutionary history and representing the great era with their noble spirit and unshakable practice.
