Tourism Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Today (September 27) is World Tourism Day.
Tourism in the DPRK is becoming brisk with each passing day as special tourist resorts have been built in the country, called a beautiful land from olden times, under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea in recent years.
The Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area in Myongsasimni on the east sea has been crowded with tourists this year in the wake of last year. Working citizens are enjoying the highest coastal tourist civilization there.
Amid the brisk tour of Samjiyon City turned into a typical mountainous town in the northern part of the country, a lot of tourists have spent a pleasant time with sightseeing and hot-spring cure. They enjoy a civilization at the hotels, game houses and fatigue-relieving centers in the city wonderfully built in harmony with the nature of Mt Paektu.
The resorts and leisure complexes in Onpho, Yombunjin and other areas of the country are crowded with visitors spending a pleasant time.
Guided by tourist workers, tourists go to resorts without any inconvenience, using Pyongyang-Kalma air route, Pyongyang-Samjiyon express, Pyongyang-Orang tourist train and bus.
The northern part of Mt Phothae in Samjiyon City is being turned into a large-scale ski resort under the nationwide interest. Like this, the work to increase the national tourist resource is progressing apace in different parts of the country.
