Young People in DPRK Volunteer for Major Worksites of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Young people in Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK have volunteered for worksites of socialist construction.

An official of primary organization of the youth league volunteered to work at a farm.

Other youths and youth league members vowed to work at construction brigades, farms and raw material base stations, out of their mind to contribute to the national prosperity and the regional development.

A meeting was held at the Municipal Cultural Hall on July 15 to congratulate the volunteers.

Present there were Pak Song Chol, chief secretary of the Kaesong Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league, youth and students.

Petition certificates were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory address and resolution-making speeches were made at the meeting.

After a congratulatory performance, officials, youth and students saw the volunteers off, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
