Immortal Guideline Clarifying Path of Building New Independent Country

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- After the liberation of Korea, President Kim Il Sung clearly indicated the path of building an independent new Korea and thus successfully accomplished the cause of building the party, state and army.

On August 20, 1945, he made a speech "On Founding the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland" before military and political cadres.

In his speech he advanced the idea of steadily advancing the Korean revolution on the basis of the successes made in accomplishing the historic cause of national liberation and building a prosperous and independent and sovereign state by the Korean people themselves and the three major tasks for building the party, state and army for implementing it.

The line of building a new country advanced by the President is consistent with the transparent independent stand that the building of a new country should be carried out by our own efforts and in our own way in conformity with the actual conditions of our country, not by anyone else, just as our people accomplished the historic cause of national liberation.

The President energetically led the work to found the party, state and army, solving all problems arising in building a new country as required by the Korean revolution.

Under the leadership of the President, the Juche-type revolutionary party (October 10, 1945) and the Korean People's Army (February 8, 1948), the revolutionary regular armed forces, and the DPRK (September 9, 1948), the genuine people's country, were founded, ushering in a proud new history of an independent and sovereign state.

The undying feats of the President who set forth the path of building a new country and successfully accomplished the historic cause of building the party, state and army are shining along with the history of prosperous socialist Korea. -0-
