Increased Building Materials Production

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is increasing the production of quality building materials.

Inspecting the regional building-materials production bases, officials of the province have resolved the problems arising in readjustment, reinforcement and capacity expansion.

Exhibitions and demonstrations are organized to generalize the successes and experience gained in the introduction of advanced technology and expansion of varieties, alongside the intensified policy guidance and technical assistance for inter-unit solidarity and cooperation.

Officials find themselves at worksites to encourage the workers and technicians to concentrate on the solution of the sci-tech problems arising in ensuring production with locally available raw and other materials and improving the quality of products and thus ultimately put the production of building materials on a multifarious, diversified and multicolored basis.

The Kyongam Tile Factory has increased the production of tiles, plastic tiles and plastic pipes by introducing valuable sci-tech achievements.

The Kyongam Wood Processing Factory boosts the production of various quality fittings.

Songnim City, Hwangju County, etc. built building materials production bases and are focusing on increasing the varieties of products.

Sinphyong and Thosan counties are mass-producing heat insulating materials, heat insulating blocks and acrylic paints while prioritizing cost reduction and quality improvement.

Sungho and Yonsan counties are directing efforts to developing building materials with new shapes, quality and functions. -0-
