Enlarged Plenary Meeting of DPRK Cabinet Held
Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- An enlarged plenary meeting of the DPRK Cabinet took place through video-conferencing on October 5.
The meeting was guided by Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, Kim Tok Hun, first vice-premier of the Cabinet, and Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission.
Present there were Vice-Premier Jon Hyon Chol, Vice-Premier and Chairman of the Agricultural Commission Ri Chol Man and other members of the Cabinet.
On hand as observers were officials of organs under the Cabinet and ministries and national agencies, chairpersons of provincial, city and county people's committees and officials of agricultural guidance organs and major industrial establishments.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the national economic plan for the third quarter of the year for implementing the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and discussed and decided on the ways for successfully concluding the first year's struggle for implementing the new Five-Year Plan.

The drive for increased production and creation for attaining the new long-term goals set forth at the Ninth Congress of the WPK has made remarkable successes in carrying out the national economic plan in the third quarter and further strengthened the foundation of the self-supporting economy, he said.
He called upon the officials, leading members of the revolution, to firmly adhere to the principle of solving everything by dint of ideology and spiritual power of the masses, organize and conduct all undertakings in a scientific, foreseeable and profitable way and fulfill their responsibility and duty in the struggle to implement the Party's economic policy.

The meeting referred to the practical issues arising in successfully concluding this year's struggle to pave a broad avenue to implement the new Five-Year Plan set forth by the Ninth Congress of the Party and took relevant measures.
