Revolutionary Cause of Juche Will Be Immortal for All Ages: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The revolutionary cause of Juche will be immortal for all ages, stresses Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a co-signed article carried on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

Our people will mark the 100th anniversary of the formation of the DIU at a time when Korean-style socialism takes greater steps forward for the comprehensive development and a rosier future of the country, the article says, adding this is a historic event of significance for the Korean people who have shared their destiny with the revolution.

Our cause in the past century is glorious and that in the future is more sacred and promising, the article says, and goes on:

The 100-year history of the Juche revolution, started with the DIU, shows that the Korean revolution has invariably advanced along the straightest road in history full of ups and downs.

On October 17, 1926, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union with young people of the new generation aspiring after socialism and communism to achieve the national liberation and class emancipation in the idea of anti-imperialist independence.

The ardent aspiration for socialism and communism and the new viewpoint and stand on the popular masses, the motive force of history, are clearly embodied in the spirit of the DIU.

The 100-year struggle of the Korean revolution was a journey of faith in which the noble idea, set forth in the first days of the revolution, had been firmly adhered to at all stages of its development, including the 20-year bloody anti-Japanese revolutionary war.

100 years of the Juche revolution shine with the victorious advance of socialism whereby a dignified people's country was built and the people's happiness has been ceaselessly created.

The most precious of all things, provided by the Juche revolution for our people, is the great socialist motherland.

As they had the great Comrade Kim Il Sung, the legendary great man whom the Korean nation acclaimed for the first time in its history of 5 000 years, as their leader, the Korean people could see the start of the greatest Juche revolution in the world. And the lifeline of the Juche revolution could be firmly carried forward and the socialist motherland be reliably defended under the wise guidance of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il, another prominent leader.
