National Heritage Preservation Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- The work to preserve national heritages is brisk in different parts of the DPRK.

South Phyongan Province is taking good care of historical remains and relics associated with the wisdom and talents of ancestors.

Jagang Province repaired the roofs of Kumsondae in Huichon City, Inphung Pavilion and Kanggyeasa in Kanggye City and replaced their pillars to keep their old appearances.

Pyongyang Municipality has repaired the pavilion for Pyongyang Bell while keeping its surroundings clean, and Kangwon Province has striven to preserve the national heritages in Wonsan City, Kumgang County and other parts of the province.

South Hwanghae Province learned about the state of historical remains and sites and has conducted the project to reconstruct the partially damaged objects by different natural factors, repair and repaint them to meet the technical requirements of relevant periods.

North and South Hamgyong provinces, North Hwanghae Province and Nampho Municipality, too, have conducted the work to preserve national heritages as an important undertaking for adding more shine to the time-honored history of the country and further developing its excellent culture and folk traditions. -0-
