Second-stage Construction Project for Tanchon Power Station Accelerated

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- The Kumgang Trade Guidance Bureau Brigade in the DPRK has carried out the tunneling of a drift for a main waterway by over 90 percent so far, with a resolve to complete the second-stage construction project for the Tanchon Power Station.

The brigade has given precedence to the supply of materials and inspired its members with enthusiasm after mapping out a plan for the waterway project.

While conducting effective scientific and technological study with the main emphasis on finding a rational way to successfully complete the waterway project, it is taking measures to introduce advanced technologies and reduce the consumption of materials to the maximum.

On the basis of the survey of the geological conditions of its section, the brigade invented various blasting methods to attain good results. -0-
