Inauguration Ceremony of Pyongyang University of Education No. 2

Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang University of Education No. 2 was newly built at the time when the revolution in education in the new era has been expanded and developed on a nationwide scale.

Pyongyang Municipality successfully built the university with a plottage of over 86 000 square meters. The university has new school buildings, a practical education hall, an e-library and a gymnasium, etc., in line with the modern educational development trend and pedagogical requirements. It is also equipped with advanced education equipment and teaching aids.

An inauguration ceremony of the university was held on the spot on Oct. 2.

Present there were Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Party and power organs and relevant officials in the municipality, teachers, researchers, builders and the teaching staff and students of the university and parents.

Prior to the inauguration ceremony, there took place a national flag-hoisting ceremony.

Choe Hui Thae, chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, made an inauguration address.

The speaker referred to the fact that respected Comrade Kim Jong Un personally guided the layout and design for the university on several occasions and took benevolent measures to ensure that the university was fully provided with modern educational conditions as required by the revolution in education of the new era.

He called upon the officials and teachers of the university to train the students to be genuine revolutionary talents with the pride and responsibility of teaching at the "pedigree farm" for training professional revolutionaries.

Then masters of the university cut the inauguration tape.

After the ceremony, its participants went round various places of the university. -0-
