Patriotic Youth's Spirit of Advance Displayed in Grand Construction Theaters

Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- Young people across the DPRK are now demonstrating the spirit peculiar to the Korean youth in every major worksite for socialist construction.

Over 1 800 youths across the country have fulfilled their national economic plans for three years, two years and a year ahead of schedule. And over 150 rural youth workteams and sub-workteams have reaped bumper harvests in wheat and barley farming this year.

Members of the Kim Kwang Chol Youth Shock Brigade at the Ryongdung Coal Mine under the Kujang Area Coal-mining Complex performed such a miracle as fulfilling the three-year national economic plan ahead of schedule.

Youth shock brigades under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex, including the Kim Hyok Youth Shock Brigade and the Ri Su Bok Youth Shock Brigade of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine, demonstrated the might of the vanguard and shock brigade.

The Kim Hyok Youth Shock Brigade members at the Komdok Mining Complex have steadily increased the speed of advance while introducing efficient working methods suited to the conditions of lithology, and the Ri Song Il-led Youth Tunneling Workteam at the April 5 Pit of the Kumgol Mine implemented its yearly plan.

Hundreds of girl weavers at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill fulfilled their one- and two-year production plans, and many young people of various units, including Sinuiju and Sariwon textile mills, fulfilled their yearly quotas.

Youths at the Samsu Forestry Station of the Forestry Complex 121 and the Hwaphyong Forestry Station of the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau have taken the lead in timber production for the year.

Many rural youth workteams and sub-workteams across the country brought about high yields in wheat and barley farming this year. -0-
