From early days of his revolutionary activities, he worked hard to found a revolutionary party.
In July 1930, he formed the first party organization - the society for rallying comrades - with young revolutionaries of the new generation. Then he expanded and strengthened the basic party organizations with the society as a parent body, training many hard-core elements to provide the organizational backbone for founding the Party.
He rallied broad masses from all walks of life under the banner of anti-Japanese struggle by awakening them to consciousness and organizing them throughout the whole period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, thus consolidating the mass foundation.
The President wisely led the work to accomplish the cause of party founding on the basis of the firm organizational and ideological preparations for party founding, provided during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, after national liberation.
In August 1945 he set forth the three major tasks for building the party, state and armed forces in the liberated country and set the party founding as a primary task.
He dispatched anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters to different parts of the country to build local party organizations, met home revolutionaries acting across the country to inform them of the Juche-oriented policy of party founding, and formulated the organizational and political lines of the party to be founded.
Under the leadership of the President, party organizations at all levels were formed in ris, sub-counties (then), counties, cities and provinces, as well as at factories and enterprises across the country, in a short span of time to successfully round off the preparations for Party founding.
On this basis, the founding of our Party was proclaimed to the whole world at the inaugural congress of the Party on October 10, 1945.
The founding of the Party enabled the Korean people to have their genuine political guide and powerful militant staff taking full responsibility for the destiny of the country and the revolution, the first of its kind in history. -0-
