Electricity Production Goes up at East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant

Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant in the DPRK are producing electricity by giving priority to the management of equipment and technical control.

The thermal equipment repair workshop is overhauling boilers as scheduled by taking measures to shorten the repair period and ensure the quality.

Reprocessing and chemical workshops dismantled and assembled the dry system in just five days.

The electric turbine repair workshop is assembling various parts as required by technical indices while ensuring the synchronism of the shaft center with the main emphasis on increasing the efficiency of turbines.

Maintenance, electrical and automation workshops are producing various kinds of processed goods needed for repairing boilers and turbine generators and readjusting and repairing electric power systems.

The thermal production workshop is increasing the production of steam while rationally organizing labour force and operating production processes according to technical requirements.
