Talented Persons Increase in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The number of talented persons, including best scientists, technicians and inventors, is on the increase in the DPRK in recent years. They contribute to developing the country's economy and improving the people's living standard and taking the lead in developing their sectors, units and regions, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The highest science and technology prize and medals were awarded to over 20 projects conducive to accelerating the national prosperity and development, and hundreds of officials, scientists and technicians received the February 16 Science and Technology Prize in the past three years after the establishment of the national system of managing the pool of sci-tech talents.

19 persons became the best scientists and technicians of the country.

Dozens of people were selected as the best scientists and technicians of ministries, national agencies and provinces for 2025.

Four working people, who made distinguished inventions conducive to the development of the country, were selected as the first best inventors. The number has increased to dozens in five years.

The number of sci-tech talents at the national level is increasing. They present sci-tech proposals of great significance in the country's economic development and sci-tech development and play a leading role in putting them into practice. -0-
