"Find oneself among the people!" - this was the precious political creed that ran through the life of the President who regarded it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven.
Saying that the people were always his devoted guardians, grateful benefactors and good teachers, he made ceaseless field guidance for good of the people.
After the liberation of the country, he once went to Taedong County of South Phyongan Province and other rural areas to have conversations with peasants and learn about their long-cherished desire for land. On this basis, he confirmed the land confiscation target, the methods for land confiscation and distribution and the ways of abolishing tenancy system forever and promulgated the historic Law on Agrarian Reform.
The President put into concrete shape and finally advanced the line of building an independent national economy and the line of simultaneously developing the economy and national defence, finding himself among the producer masses during his field guidance to factories, enterprises and farming and fishing villages across the country.
He also created the Chongsanri spirit and Chongsanri method, the method of leading the masses during his field guidance to Chongsan-ri and Kangso County (then).
Whenever he mapped out a line or policy, he always gave field guidance to grasp the aspirations and demands of the people and accurately reflected the interests and aspirations of the people in them.
As the President formulated the line and policy for the people, finding himself among them and encouraged them for their implementation all his life, the DPRK could turn into a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence. -0-
