He highly praised the soldier-builders for their efforts and successes in the construction.
Delightfully going round the construction site progressing at the final stage, he suddenly asked an official when the construction is expected to be finished. The official gave an answer and then told the respected General Secretary about the plan to dispatch the units involved in the construction to a new construction site soon after the inhabitants move into new dwelling houses.
The General Secretary said that the units should not leave the area as soon as they hastily finish the construction and that it is important to get the people's final assessment of the dwelling houses. Our service personnel would feel reluctant to leave without getting the people's assessment, he added. Noting that the rehabilitation projects are underway on a nationwide scale, he underlined the need not to lean only on the speed in the construction but to push ahead with all the construction processes, including design and construction, according to the people-first viewpoint and principle.
Bearing deep in mind the noble intention of the respected General Secretary that any construction work should be dealt with on the people-first principle, not as a businesslike process or procedure, and its quality should be ensured on the highest level to be welcomed by the people at all times, the officials hardened their will to construct all the buildings perfectly so as to make a genuine contribution to the convenience and wellbeing of the people. -0-
