Head of WPK Delegation Meets Member of Secretariat of C.C., CPC

Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Song Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea who is on an official visit to the People's Republic of China as the head of the WPK delegation, met and had a talk in a warm atmosphere with Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, member of the Secretariat and director of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Nov. 6.

Kim Song Nam stressed that the close relationship and strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two parties of the DPRK and China are the cornerstone and inexhaustible driving force of the DPRK-China friendship and that it is the steadfast stand of the WPK to steadily develop the DPRK-China relations with socialism as the core.

He hoped that the Chinese people would achieve greater successes in the course of building a thriving nation and achieving national prosperity under the leadership of the CPC with Comrade General Secretary Xi Jinping as its core.

Cai Qi stressed that Comrade General Secretary Xi Jinping added fresh significance of the times and a powerful engine to the strategic development of the China-DPRK relations by reaching an important common understanding on a number of issues, together with Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, during his successful state visit to the DPRK in June this year.

He affirmed that no matter the ever-changing international situation, the Chinese party and government would remain unchanged in its firm stand of attaching profound importance to the traditional China-DPRK friendship and supporting the Korean socialist cause led by Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un and in its unshakable decision to protect the common interests and excellent strategic environment of the two sides.

He also expressed the willingness of the Chinese side to accelerate the in-depth promotion of the China-DPRK relations and contribute to the stable long-term development of the socialist cause of the two countries by encouraging mutual visits and cooperation and exchanges through joint implementation of the important common understanding reached by the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries. -0-
