Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery

One day in July 2013, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery under final-stage construction.

Going round the construction site at the foot of Mt Sokbak, he gave detailed instructions on the design of the monument to national defence, creation of greenery in the cemetery area and formation of peripheral fences.

While accompanying him, officials were deeply moved, reminding themselves of the meticulous guidance he gave after personally initiating its construction to add glory to the exploits of the victorious wartime generation.

Shortly afterwards, the General Secretary said that graves had owners from olden times and that the Workers' Party of Korea is the owner of the graves of the martyrs of the People's Army who laid down their lives in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

That day's historic footprints left by him reflect his noble obligation and iron faith to add eternal luster to the immortal feats of the victorious wartime generation and ensure the continuity of the proud history of victory on this land. -0-
