Hyesan and Wonsan Cities Spruced up in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, Hyesan City in Ryanggang Province and Wonsan City in Kangwon Province have been spruced up.

Exteriors of apartments in the centre of Hyesan City have been newly decorated and commercial service establishments reconstructed. Conifers and flowering plants were planted in the surrounding of the provincial three-revolution exhibition house and other places.

A ring road between Hyemyong-dong and Hyesan Youth Railway Station was completed and bus stops renovated to promote the convenience in traffic.

Hundreds of street lamps were newly installed in the street, adding beauty to it.

Multi-storey dwelling houses and public buildings in Wonsan City were reconstructed in keeping with modern tastes and streets were landscaped.

A flower garden and a coastal park in the area of Songdowon and children's parks in the areas of Sungri-dong, Phoha-dong and Pokmak-dong were wonderfully built as the resorts for the people, and new street lamps installed to spruce up the provincial seat. -0-
