Progress Made in Coal Production
Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex in the DPRK makes successes in a drive for increased production.
The complex has concentrated efforts on tunneling to provide sufficient coalfields and invented and introduced valuable innovations to increase the proportion of mechanization in the face work.
The Namyang Coal Mine has produced 23 000 more tons of coal than scheduled this year and the Hyongbong Coal Mine has registered high results every day by improving the overall processes including prospecting, tunneling and coal-cutting.
The Wolbong Coal Mine has increased its productivity far more than the same period of last year.
The Tokchon Coal-mining Machine Factory sent hundreds of coal wagons, various accessories and tools to coal mines so as to give vitality to the increased production.
The complex has concentrated its workforce and means on the faces rich in deposits and favorable for mining conditions and to increase the coal production, while striving to realize the mechanization of work in pits and diversify the transport means. -0-
