Profitable Kumyagang Power Station No. 2
One day in May 2019, respected Comrade General Secretary
Commanding a bird's-eye view of the dam at the post for monitoring its sluice gate, the General Secretary said with great satisfaction that it was wonderful and profitable power station. He was very pleased to see the reservoir filled with water even in the dry season. And he told the officials that his visit was aimed to build many small- and medium-sized power stations, and taught them that the hydro-power stations should be built like the Kumyagang Power Station No. 2.
The officials came to realize his intention of visiting a small power station in a local county.
Shortly afterwards, the General Secretary noted that he gave an instruction on enlisting hydroelectric resources of the whole country to the maximum as it is important to make effective use of them.
When he reached the open space behind the power station, he looked at the sluice gate of the dam, saying that the power station was built well and its surrounding environment and volume of water are all right and it is a profitable one.
This valuable appraisal reflected his earnest requests that officials should make a concrete plan to make effective use of hydroelectric resources in their regions, if they are to build a power station. -0-
