Farms in N. Hwanghae Province Hasten Harvest

Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK make achievements by directing efforts to raising the proportion of mechanization at farm work.

Officials of the province acquainted themselves with operation state of farm machines in cities and counties, with the goal to finish rice harvesting and threshing in the shortest time, and solved the problems arising in reinforcing and repairing them.

Thereby harvest rate increased by 1.5 times as compared with last year.

Farms in Sariwon City and Hwangju County have harvested crops without loss while increasing the quantity of harvested crops per hour and the number of transport rounds by enhancing the responsibility and role of operators of combine harvesters and tractor drivers.

Agricultural workers in Unpha and Pongsan counties set the order of work according to field conditions. They provided enough tools and accessories to ensure the quality of harvesting on a high level.

Farms in Suan and Kumchon counties, too, are over-fulfilling their daily quotas by rationally arranging small rice harvesters, small tractors and mobile threshers and ensuring proper process-by-process engagement. -0-
