Young People Volunteer for Difficult and Labor-consuming Sectors

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- Young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK have volunteered to work at difficult and labor-consuming sectors of socialist construction.

Members of the youth league in Munchon City and Phyonggang, Chonnae and Thongchon counties volunteered to work at city and county construction brigades.

Young people in Changdo and Kumgang counties vowed to work at raw material base stations and farms.

Youths in Wonsan City and Hoeyang, Kimhwa and Phangyo counties decided to work at road- and pass-maintaining work-teams.

A meeting was held at the Songdowon Youth Open-Air Theatre on October 29 to congratulate those volunteers.

Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students. The volunteers were awarded certificates. A congratulatory address and speeches were made.

Officials and youth and students presented bouquets to the volunteers leaving for new workplaces and encouraged them. -0-
