Party and State Commendations Awarded to Creative Units, Officials and Creators of Mansudae Art Studio
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- The Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations is a sacred one showing the invincible militant spirit and might of the heroic Korean People's Army and the height of loyalty of the army boundlessly faithful to the call of the country.
With the noble mission of proudly engraving in history the matchless bravery and mass heroism displayed by the proud sons of this country as the banner of sure victory, the officials and creators of the Mansudae Art Studio devoted their sincerity to successfully erecting the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats as a great monument of the times.
Party and state commendations were awarded to the relevant creative units, officials and creators of the studio who performed distinguished merits in the construction of the memorial museum on July 21.
At an awarding ceremony, Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, warmly congratulated all the officials, creators and employees of the studio on receiving Party and state commendations for making great contributions to turning the memorial museum into the one that comprehensively reflects the level of Korean architecture and fine art.
He called on all the officials, creators and employees to firmly arm themselves with the Juche-oriented idea and theory on art and literature of the Workers' Party of Korea and produce more masterpieces so as to achieve more successes in practice.
After a decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was read out, the sculpture creation group and others were awarded the citation of the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, Order of National Flag First Class and the title of Merited Creators' Group.
Order of
Ryang Ui Chol, Kim Hyon Chol and Ryu Yong Son were awarded the citation of the General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Jo Kwang Sik, Ri Sun Myong and Jang Ryong Ho were awarded the title of People's Artist and Ho Se Yong, Kim Chung Guk, Im Yong Bin and Choe Hak Chol the title of Merited Artist.
Order of National Flag First Class went to two persons, Order of Labor to three, Order of National Flag Second Class to five, Order of National Flag Third Class to nine and Medal of Merit to 18 persons.
Then oath-taking speeches were made.
Speakers firmly pledged to devote all their wisdom and enthusiasm to their creative work to have the new era of a dignified power, a new biography of national rejuvenation eternally etched in history. -0-
