Wonsan-Kalma Coastal Tourist Area Crowded with Many Visitors

Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area in the DPRK is now overflowing with many visitors who came from across the country by train or bus to enjoy the Korean-style tourist culture.

The visitors have felt pride and joy when they get on electric cars or trams to enjoy the magnificent view of the tourist area which includes modern hotels, hostels and sea-bathing service facilities and various commercial and public catering service bases standing in a row along the coastline.

The bathing beach, outdoor wading pool, e-game hall and other service facilities are crowded with people enjoying the coastal tourist culture.

It is worth seeing high-speed boats or water skis running at full speed over the sea. And the beach volleyball matches and motorcycling on the white sands are conspicuous.

The tourists are spending the unforgettable days of tourism, trying a variety of special dishes at the public catering establishments and enjoying an animated chat with each other at lodging quarters in the evening.

Successful performances by national art troupes and the Kangwon Provincial Art Troupe at the Myongsasimni Theatre in the coastal tourist area give the tourists a great pleasure.

Many people have said in excited tones that they had visited many bathing beaches on the east or west coasts in the past, but they could not feel such great pleasure as in the Wonsan-Kalma coastal tourist area and that they do not want to leave this area and will come again next year together with their families or friends. -0-
