Fruit Production Increases in North Hwanghae Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Raw materials bases in Yonthan County, North Hwanghae Province have seen their Aronia melanocarpa trees heavily laden with fruits this year, too. The county is well known for Aronia melanocarpa cultivation.

Thanks to the efforts of the officials and working people in the county, the fruit production has increased by 1.5 times, as compared to the last year's.

Officials and working people in the city are harvesting the fully ripened fruit without any waste.

Meanwhile, the Yonthan County Foodstuff Factory strives to increase the kinds of health drinks, fermented products and confectionery in great demand among the people by storing and managing raw materials in a responsible manner and developing the fruit processing method. -0-
