The university is making preparations for establishing new engineering institutes with the goal of developing the engineering field with the field of basic science as a springboard.
It is making sure that the Faculty of Physics, the High-Tech Development Center and the Faculty of Electronics and Automation jointly draw up curriculums combining basic science with engineering and set an example of executing them together.
Meanwhile, it is conducting the work to develop technology by involving teachers, researchers, postgraduate students and students in the joint research with enterprises, train the development forces of the enterprises and operate a system of reeducating the researchers of enterprises on a trial basis.
Such work is oriented to ensure smooth mutual ties among all fields of science including basic science and application science and make sure that the university strengthens cooperation with enterprises, thus training talents necessary for the development of the state in a qualitative way.
Innovative efforts are being made to improve education at the graduate school.
On the basis of the university's reliable basic science research forces, research groups of the university are briskly conducting scientific research to boost the competitive power of several fields including metallurgical, chemical and machine-building industries in science and technology and contribute to putting economy on an advanced and modernized basis.
In particular, the university is pushing ahead with the work to establish the AI industry while accelerating the projects for playing a key role in establishing the cutting-edge industry.
As a result, faculties, departments and institutes of the university are taking an active part in the establishment of the AI industry, which gives a comprehensive survey of all studies.
Students are involved in extracurricular clubs such as program group to develop their ability.
