Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm

Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- The Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm is located in the Wonhung area of Samsok District, Pyongyang Municipality. The farm has a bumper harvest this year, too.

The fruits produced by the farm are favored by the DPRK people for their high quality.

The people also like the processed fruits produced by the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Processing Factory, including various kinds of syrup, jam and wine.

On August 17, 2016, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm. He gave precious instructions to be regarded as guidelines for the management and operation of the farm, including the issue of positively introducing high-yielding and tasty fruit seeds and keeping the production of high-yielding fruit saplings going at a high rate and the issue of briskly conducting a socialist emulation among the fruit farms across the country.

In recent years alone, the farm has dug pits extending hundreds of kilometers and newly planted one million and hundreds of thousands of saplings, thus opening up a bright prospect for increasing fruit production.

The farm overfulfilled its fruit production plan last year and was highly appreciated at the public judgment for evaluating the taste of apple and pear produced by different fruit farms across the country.

The Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm has increased the production by putting fruit production on a scientific and intensive basis and boosting the fertility of orchards and keeping the production of high-yielding fruit saplings going at a high rate. -0-
