Statement of First Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Sik, first vice department director of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, made public the following statement on October 16:

Our national defence sci-tech group is astonished at another "high technology" announced by the ROK.

The part which the ROK Defense Ministry claimed that "it is just the technology" is an unreasonable one exposing itself to ridicule to a certain extent as any other countries' technical groups will not be able to understand it.

There would be a wide-spread perception that it is nothing but an excuse lack of scientific explanation.

The issue of soot on the surface of the hypersonic gliding vehicle, mentioned by Full General Jang Chang Ha, general director of the Missile Administration, on October 14, is not the one related to heat-resistant material and TPP.

The ROK made an unjustifiable assertion that "it is thanks to the excellent quality of its home-made heat-resistant material", but any other countries can not technically prevent the coat of paint from being burnt down due to the rise of the surface temperature by aerodynamic heating.

This has nothing to do with heat-resistant material, erosion and normal flight functioning.

What does it mean that the coat of paint remains intact just before the landing of a hypersonic missile, not a supersonic plane?

They are foolish enough to make an attempt to package even an unavoidable physical phenomenon with their own "special technology".

We do not intend to have technical arguments with the ROK tribes over such a photo.

We heard all we wanted to hear on this occasion.

"After this, our army plans to put the HGV weapon system, the core strategic asset for security in the future, and related technology on a more highly-developed basis"…

It is an unfiltered expression of the stand of the ROK military tribes they suddenly made in the course of justifying their own weak points.

Such confrontational ambition of the vicious enemies provided us with the most reasonable justification for bolstering up our defence capability.

This is a clear explanation why we have invariably held the line of gaining the overwhelming superiority in strength. -0-
