DPRK Makes Successes in Land Management

Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Counties of the DPRK have achieved successes in autumn land management, according to Rodong Sinmun.

Unsan County of North Phyongan Province completed more than 20 river improvement projects and Kujang County of the same province carried out a large-scale river embankment project and the dredging of river-beds of over 100 000 cubic meters ahead of schedule.

Kilju County of North Hamgyong Province finished a river improvement project to spruce up the region and conserve farmland.

Koksan County of North Hwanghae Province built or repaired the firebreaks and erosion control structures, and Sakju County of North Phyongan Province has directed efforts to producing saplings for afforestation and landscaping

Jongphyong County of South Hamgyong Province is concentrating its efforts on the anti-land-sliding project. -0-
