Winter Wheat and Barley Seeding Begins in Rural Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- Winter wheat and barley seeding started at farms in Kangwon Province of the DPRK.

Farms are sowing winter wheat and barley in a responsible manner while increasing the operation rate of farm machines.

The province has carried on sowing as scheduled on the basis of scientific calculation of sunshine rate and accumulated temperature after securing high-yielding seeds with short growing term and safe yield.

Farms selected good seeds and disinfected them well, and are increasing the area of sowing while meeting the technical requirements of sowing wheat and barley.

They have recorded high results by rationally allocating manpower and means and utilizing efficient working methods. -0-
