Activities of Medical Education Teams Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- The field medical education teams dispatched to newly-built city and county hospitals are intensifying their activities, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The field medical education teams, consisting of competent medical workers of Pyongyang General Hospital, Kim Man Yu Hospital, Korean General Red Cross Hospital and other national-level hospitals are helping improve the technical and practical qualifications of the medical workers of Kangdong County Hospital, Kusong City Hospital and Ryonggang County Hospital.

Members of the mobile medical education teams are engaging in technical lectures, practical and technical training and patient consultation to improve the clinical and technical level and academic qualifications of the local medical workers on the spot.

In July alone, they gave more than 1 500 technical lectures, over 3 000 technical workshops and at least 4 000 rounds of consultation with patients, thus further improving the level of local medical service.

The local medical workers are increasingly eager to learn more in technical lectures and workshops.

Diagnostic and therapeutic methods are being introduced into clinical practice in keeping with the trend of the development of modern medicine amid the efforts to provide advanced medical service to the local people in cooperation with the members of the field medical education teams. -0-
