The book contains 41 classic works made public by the Chairman between March and July 2008.
In his work "On Some Tasks for Improving the Ideological Work of the Party at Present", the Chairman clarified the important guidelines for bringing about a fresh turn in the Party's ideological work as required by the times and the developing revolution.
Several works set forth the tasks facing the People's Army, including those for intensifying the political and ideological education of service personnel, establishing a strong training habit in the whole army and making full preparations for mobilizing weapons and technical equipment for combat.
The Chairman in his works stressed the need for officials of the Cabinet and other economic guidance organs and economic sector to uphold the Party's economic policies with revolutionary faith and conscience and carry them out thoroughly and the need to increase the grain production by farming well.
There are also works dealing with the idea of steadily improving the quality of education on the basis of our Party's Juche-oriented idea on education and educational policy and socialist educational system and in conformity with the requirements and interests of our revolution and the actual circumstances and conditions of our country.
The book also contains classic works giving perfect answers to the theoretical and practical problems arising in the revolution and construction including the tasks for taking thorough measures to prevent flood damage, sprucing up the Paekunsan Pleasure Park into a resort for the people and preserving the historical and cultural relics in their original state. -0-
