DPRK Newspapers Mark 73rd Anniversary of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK issued editorials to mark the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War on Monday.

Rodong Sinmun in an editorial says that for our state and people July 27 is a day of great victory as this day gave them the undying honor and fame of being a victor nation and heroic people.

The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is the one won through the outstanding military ideas, Juche-oriented war tactics and adroit strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung, the ardent patriotism of the army and the people who were firmly united behind the Workers' Party of Korea and the indomitable spirit of defending the country, the editorial says, and continues:

The past 70 years, which were as arduous as the period of the war were a proud course during which the soul and spirit of the defenders of the country in the 1950s had been inherited generation after generation and new chapters of victory had been written in the history of the country.

The legendary years and numerous heroic feats admired by the times were recorded in the history of the country and our state could achieve the greatest honor and prestige as our people waged an indomitable struggle of uninterrupted progress and successive offensive in the spirit and mettle of the Korean people when the hostile forces who did not always want the DPRK to become stronger made more desperate moves.

Thanks to the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the victory has become the symbol of Juche Korea's mightiness.

Under his energetic leadership, the DPRK has emerged as a world military power which has secured all kinds of enough powerful and perfect physical means of self-defence and achieved unique and rapid development of defence capabilities of the country through nonstop upgrading and evolution.

The editorial calls on everyone to vigorously work to fully display the precious name and honor of the great victor nation and make the country, which was defended and built by the martyrs, more powerful and prosperous under the leadership of the respected Comrade General Secretary.

Minju Joson in an editorial stresses that victory alone awaits the DPRK which is successfully carrying forward the history and tradition of the great victory in the war. -0-
