Kumsong Secondary Schools Nos. 1 and 2 Mark Their Founding Anniversaries

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- 60 years have passed since the founding of Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 and Kumsong Secondary School No. 2.

Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 and Kumsong Secondary School No. 2 are among the leading bases for training talented students in the DPRK. President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il personally named schools and solved all problems arising in their management and education and art activities.

The President appreciated many performances including New Year performances given by the students of the schools and sent them to foreign countries to give performances, and the Chairman visited the newly-built Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 together with the President to indicate the orientation and ways to be followed by the school.

Respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un sent a lot of educational equipment to the schools and led them to take the lead in implementing the policy on bringing about a radical turn in education in the new century.

The schools have created hundreds of new teaching methods and generalized them to other schools across the country. In those days they produced a hundred and tens of holders of academic degree, October 8 Model Professors and many winners of the July 15 Top Honor Prize. And they also made achievements in education including writing textbooks and reference books conducive to improving students' ability.

In addition, many teachers and students took part in major national conferences and performances, having the honor of having a photo taken in the presence of respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un. They also presented their writings to respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, giving pleasure to him.

The schools have won the titles of the Thrice Honoured Red Flag School and the twice model physical training school by putting spurs to the educational revolution in the new era, secured the title of the Ten IT Model Units and intensified education for training students who are knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy to produce many winners of Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize and Kim Jong Il Children Honor Prize. -0-
