Sci-tech Activities Brisk in N. Hwanghae Province

Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is intensifying the sci-tech activities to develop the regional economy and improve the people's standard of living.

With the mind to contribute to the regional economic development, scientists and technicians at the manufactory of high-tech goods under the provincial science and technology commission and the provincial industrial technology institute have stepped up the work to put production of various factories and small- and medium-sized power stations on a normal footing, expand their capacity and technically upgrade equipment by pooling their wisdom and efforts.

Members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians in the province are working hard to settle the problems arising in installing equipment in a rational way according to processes through collective discussion and research activities. Among them are those dispatched to the construction sites of the light industry factories in Sinphyong and Pongsan counties

Technicians and workers of the Kyongam Building-materials Factory and the Sariwon Aeguk Essential Plastic Goods Factory made successes in the building of new additive production processes and the manufacture of cooling devices through a mass technical innovation movement.

Songnim City and Hwangju and Rinsan counties are making progress in further strengthening the foundations for producing building materials and the agricultural productive forces by effectively mobilizing their own technical and talent forces. -0-
