PRC Party and Government Delegation Visits Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China led by Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, on an official goodwill visit to the DPRK visited Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area on July 17.

The delegation was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Song Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK, and officials concerned.

Being told about the capacity of the service facilities, their operation and prospects of development of the tourist area, the delegation enjoyed the coastal scenery, looking round various places of the tourist area.

Wang Huning said it amazed him that the DPRK built in a short span of time the tourist area where the splendid structures harmonize with the natural landscape in an unique way and which has been landscaped on a high level, adding that such wonderful service facilities for the people are the embodiment and manifestation of the people-first principle of the WPK.

That day the delegation was invited to a luncheon arranged by the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the WPK at Myongsasimni Hotel. -0-
