80th Anniversary of Pyongyang Condiments Factory Marked

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Condiments Factory in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung took a measure to establish the factory on August 10, 1946 when he promulgated the law on nationalization of major industries, and resolved all the problems arising in its production and management.

Although the country faced difficulties, Chairman Kim Jong Il took steps to expand the capacity of the factory and supply materials to it. Even in the last period of his life, he energetically led the factory to make a tangible contribution to the improvement of people's livelihood through smooth production.

Inspecting several parts of the modernized factory on June 7, 2013, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un rated it very highly as a factory operating as required by the line of the three revolutions, ideological, technical and cultural, a factory meeting the needs of the era of the Workers' Party and a factory fully embodying patriotism.

Over the past years, the factory has achieved enough production potential and reinforced solid material and technical foundations to contribute to the development of the country's food industry and the improvement of people's diet.

A meeting was held on the spot on August 9 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the factory.
