Sci-tech Symposium on Greenhouse Vegetable Sector-2026 Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- The Sci-tech Symposium on Greenhouse Vegetable Sector-2026 was held at the Sinuiju Vegetable Science Research Center from Sept. 15 to 21 under the sponsorship of the Korean Vegetable Association of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were scientists, technicians and field officials of over 50 greenhouse vegetable research and production units including the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm and the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

Presented to the symposium were more than 100 proposals conducive to further modernizing the breeding means and equipment, breeding and introducing varieties according to various uses by applying advanced technologies including biotechnology, and developing and perfecting the intelligent integrated production system that guarantees the optimization of production and the practical technology for recycling the nutrient solution.

During the symposium there were a lecture on various vegetable cultivation technologies and insect extermination in greenhouses and a multimedia show. -0-
