Women's Union Members Volunteer for Worksites of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- In a month after the Eighth Congress of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, more than 4 000 members of the women's union volunteered for worksites of socialist construction.

Women's union members in Hyongjesan District and Taedonggang District petitioned to work at road management office or water supply and sewerage management station and many other members of the women's union in Pyongyang volunteered to work in various fields of the national economy.

The people are deeply moved by the patriotic deeds of members of the women's union of the Hoeryong City in North Hamgyong Province and the Tukjang Area Coal-mining Complex, who are working sincere efforts at coal mines with their pure conscience.

Women in Toksong County, South Hamgyong Province volunteered to work in the forestry sector.

Among them are hundreds of women's union members in Phyonggang County, Kangwon Province who decided to work at the county raw materials base station and women in Nampho Municipality who went to the Chollima Steel Complex, construction brigade and salt works with their intention to dedicate their all to society and the collective.

Women's union members in North Phyongan, North Hwanghae and Jagang provinces and Rason and Kaesong municipalities who volunteered for difficult and labor-consuming worksites show well the noble outlook on life of our women who find themselves worth living and feel pride in implementing the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-
