Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Greetings from Russian Party Leader

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, received a congratulatory message from G. A. Zhuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on October 10.

The message said:

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un,

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, I extend sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of the 81st founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

October 10, 1945 was a starting point of the heroic annals of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The motherly Party, which the DPRK people call with love and respect, has been the guiding force of the DPRK society for more than 80 years.

The glorious course covered by the Workers' Party of Korea is inseparably related with the august names of the outstanding state activists.

Comrade Kim Il Sung, the founder of the Party and the state, rallied the people against the colonialists and imperialists and Comrade Kim Jong Il led the DPRK to a fresh victory even under the complicated circumstances, while steadily strengthening the national defence and economy.

Under your wise leadership, the WPK is confidently implementing the line on comprehensive development based on self-reliance.

The eye-opening successes made in bolstering up the defence capability and developing the economy, science and education clearly prove the validity of the line chosen by the Party and its leading role in the building of the state.

The DPRK people, united around the Workers’ Party of Korea, are building a powerful and prosperous state, firmly defending socialism despite difficulties and external pressure.

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation is paying high tribute to heroism of the DPRK soldiers who displayed matchless self-sacrificing spirit, resolution and bravery in the struggle to liberate Kursk Region from the neo-Nazis by carrying forward the tradition of the best internationalist solidarity.

The combatants of the Korean People's Army honorably carried forward the tradition of militant friendship between the Soviet Union and the DPRK which had been consolidated at the cost of blood in the midst of flames and the grim trials.

Their exploits are always recorded in the history of Russia-DPRK friendship.

We highly value the traditional ties of friendship and unity that link the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Workers' Party of Korea.
