Founding Anniversary of DPRK Commemorated in Russia

Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- Russian parties, organizations and institutions hosted meetings, seminars, photo exhibitions and other events from September 4 to 10 to commemorate the 78th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

They included the Maritime Territorial Branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Russian Veterans' Federation, the Maritime Territorial Branch of the All-Russia War Veterans' Social Organization "Militant Fraternity" and the Far East State Science Library.

Speeches were made at the events attended by personages of political parties, organizations and institutions of Russia and members of Juche idea study groups and organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people.

The first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Branch Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that thanks to the founding of the DPRK by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the Korean people became the people with dignity, who carve out their destiny independently as the masters of the country and society, for the first time in history, and the DPRK could emerge as a full-fledged, independent and sovereign state in the international arena.

The DPRK is now performing a series of world-startling miracles and changes, in the face of imperialists' sanctions and pressure, under the seasoned leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, he said.

The chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK and personages of the Veterans' Federation and the Academy of Sciences said that the DPRK could build genuine people's power and follow the brilliant path of development thanks to the nation-building exploits of Comrade Kim Il Sung. The DPRK is making remarkable development thanks to the policy of its leadership oriented to national prosperity and the people's wellbeing and the strenuous efforts of the people to thoroughly implement it, they said, adding the DPRK is making a great contribution to global peace and security, clearly clarifying its principled stand in the international arena.

The chairman of the Maritime Territorial Branch of All-Russia War Veterans' Social Organization "Militant Fraternity" and the chairman of the Khabarovsk Youth Association for the Study of the Juche Idea praised the exploits President Kim Il Sung performed by liberating the Korean nation and founding the DPRK. They expressed belief that the Korean people would achieve bigger successes in the struggle for building a powerful state under the guidance of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. -0-
