Rodong Sinmun Calls for Adhering to Principle of Settling Everything by Dint of Ideology

Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an editorial says that the new era of comprehensive development, in which men and nature are changed beyond recognition, is an emotion-charged era in which eye-opening successes and precious fruits have been brought about one after another thanks to the ideological and spiritual strength of the Korean people doing their utmost in all parts of the country.

It is necessary to hold fast to the ideology-first principle as intended by the Workers' Party of Korea in order to further develop the towering spirit and vigorous exertion of the people and accelerate our advance toward greater victory and greater change, the editorial says, and goes on:

It is the precious truth, clearly proved once again in the whole historical course of the Korean revolution and in the days of pioneering the comprehensive development of socialism that any miracle can be created when the strength of ideology, the spiritual power of the masses, is displayed.

It is our Party's intention that reserves and possibilities should be found in the ideological space rather than in the economic space and everything should be settled by dint of ideology and political offensive in all spheres.

When full play is given to the might of ideology, the spiritual power of the masses, our advance will be further accelerated and the trend of comprehensive development will grow stronger and the prosperity of our state will be brought earlier.

Everyone should be deeply mindful and thoroughly apply into all affairs the truth that ideology decides everything and nothing is impossible to do when people's ideology is given play.

All sectors and units should adhere to the principle of giving priority to the ideological and political work.

It is needed to actively explore and apply fresh and innovative methods and keys of the political work.

The present reality, in which the social environment is changing and the people's intellectual level and consciousness are increasing, urgently requires the steady exploration and application of fresh and innovative, political-work methods.
