Beautiful Landscape on Coast of East Sea of Korea - Ragwonpho
Pyongyang, August 30 (KCNA) -- In Ragwon County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK, there is Ragwonpho boasting of beautiful scenery.
Ragwonpho, a fishing village on the east coast, is just like a picturesque one as it has a peculiar seafood production base and hundreds of modern dwellings perfectly built in aspects of convenience, aesthetic beauty and formative art to be familiar with natural scenery.
Seeing such changes in the county, the people recollect with deep emotion the leadership feats and devoted efforts made by respected Comrade General Secretary
The General Secretary chose its site in a very good place and personally took the first shovel of construction and made sure that the fishing village was named "Ragwonpho". And he taught one by one how to resolve the problems arising in the construction of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and worked heart and soul to ensure that the modern dwellings were built there on the highest level.
On August 30, 2025, he attended an inaugural ceremony of the Ragwon County Offshore Farm and expressed the belief that Ragwonpho would thrive as a socialist paradise along with the wealth of prosperity growing year by year, wishing for the county people to always enjoy all kinds of happiness.
The officials and employees of the farm have striven to activate the aquaculture and substantially contribute to the development of local economy and the improvement of the regional people's living standards. This year they harvested hundreds of tons of scallops, seaweed and kelp in February and June.
They are now working hard to ensure the stable seafood production by introducing advanced cultivation methods and putting aquaculture on a sci-tech basis of higher level. -0-
